LEAD BASED PAINT TESTING AND RISK ASSESSMENTS

Lead-based paint poses a serious health problem to children.  Homes build prior to 1978 often have lead-based paint in them.  Federal programs have targeted this problem as one that is a priority due to the risk for children under 6 years of age. 

The RWHRA offers Lead Based Paint (LBP) Risk Assessment and Clearance testing services to the Southeast Minnesota region.  Certified by the State of Minnesota, Lead Based Paint Assessor Doug Kocina conduct risk assessments and clearance testing using a nondestructive state-of-the-art XRF (x-ray fluorescence) instrument.  Our Risk Assessment team will provide you with a detailed report that shows the areas that were analyzed and the amount of lead detected.  The report will identify areas of concern and will provide a number of options to correct any potential hazards on your property.

Our Clearance Examinations, conducted after rehabilitation projects are completed, will provide you with the analysis from accredited laboratories and the documentation of clearance results.
